2012 Motivations
VeInteractive | January 16, 2012
What will motivate you in 2012?
Forget the gym and the resolution to drink more water, or even the fashionable reverse bucket list (doing diligence on the things you actually don’t want to do… like going on a detox), we’re talking ecommerce. What will motivate you to shop online in 2012?
Well according to Steelhouse, the US industry-leading expert in Behavioural Commerce, the top catalysts for making us all spend this year, are the things that save us money. (And it took a survey to work this one out?) So in other words; free shipping, discounts and discounts based on past product interest.
But Ve Interactive would like to add convenience to that list. We’re all time poor remember? Hence the significant increase in tablet ownership and online sales from these tablets. Indeed 98 percent of respondents in the survey stated that they will be shopping online via their tablets in 2012.
And the top buys for 2012?
- Electronics (44 percent)
- Clothing (34 percent)
- Household goods (31 percent)
So not gym memberships then?
