</p><p>It brings up a faint underline on passages to say that a significant number of other people have highlighted that passage. Then you too can highlight it in yellow if you wish. <p /> It’s a lovely, subtle thing just to use technology to improve utility and experience. It means you can skim read books by just looking at the things people have highlighted throughout. I do wish I could cut and paste passages from the text, though. I totally get why you can’t, what with publishers concerns for turning books into something as sharable and stealable as music MP3s. But it’ll come one day, I’m sure.</p>
